What is Stem Cell?

Stem cells are the ‘smart cells’ of the human body. They are normally present in the bone marrow and adipose with small quantities in the blood, abdomen fat, crown of tooth, eyes, etc. Stem cells can differentiate into other organ cells. They also selectively move towards injured areas of the body. Hence they are of great values in regeneration of damaged organs. This also indicates their potential for the future of regenerative medicines. Stem cell therapy is a rapidly evolving area of medicine. The stem cells are harvested from the bone marrow or by drawing the patient’s own blood and hence this treatment is called ‘Autologous.’ Adult stem cell therapy has given new hope for hitherto ‘incurable medical problems.’

Stem cells are different from other body cells in having capacity to change themselves into any type of blood tissue like bone, heart, muscle, nerve tissues, liver cells, blood vessels, etc. This is called ‘Pluripotency’ or ‘plasticity.’ This amazing property represents a major hope for medical science as damaged body parts can now be potentially repaired using these versatile cells.

In stem cell therapy we use either bone marrow derived mono nucleic cells or adipose derived stem cells which are abundantly available in our body. We process the sample in our well established lab under supervision of experienced researchers. The processed cells undergoes various quality tests before injecting into the patients. These stem cells are injected either through lumbar puncture or intravenously which will be decided by the doctors.

We undertake trial stem cells therapy successfully for the following problems:

  • Brain

  • Liver Disease

  • Stroke

  • Cancer

  • Spinal Injury
